Mercedez and Cristian met at just 12 years old in seventh grade. They spent their middle school years creating memories together and continued dating into their freshman year of high school. When they attended different schools, life took them in separate directions, but their story was far from over.

Years later, during Mercedez's freshman year of college, God brought their paths together once again. One night, Cristian and his best friend Miguel stopped by Mercedez's house to randomly say hi. Neither of them could have imagined that this unexpected visit would mark the beginning of a new chapter. What started as one date quickly became countless adventures and a love stronger than ever before.

Together, they have embraced their twenties hand in hand. From mountain adventures and hiking trails to beach days, road trips, and discovering new places to eat, every experience brought them closer together. While Mercedez balanced full-time school/work, Cristian worked diligently to build his future in the union. Through every challenge and every milestone, they became one another's greatest source of strength, encouragement, and friendship.

On November 1, 2025, Cristian asked Mercedez to marry him in the beautiful mountains of Oak Glen, a place that has held a special place in her heart since childhood. In a quiet and meaningful moment surrounded by nature, he got down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever. She said yes. From two middle schoolers in love to two adults choosing forever, their story is a testament to God's faithfulness, perfect timing, and enduring love.
